As you may know, the Association had its AGM on Monday 6 November in Auckland.
We had a good physical turnout and a number of proxies.
The Special Resolution to wind up the Association was passed, but as previously noted, a further ratification vote will be required in the new year. Time and date to be advised.
We welcomed two new Board members Gemma Pope and Ian Jordan. Theresa Hatton (Deputy Chair), Warren Borlase and I remain on the Board.
A “merger “of the Triple A and Plus4 was discussed. A brand new organisation that all our joint members can join is the most likely vehicle. Two non Plus4 Board members will be actively involved in how this new organisation will look. As you know about a quarter of our members (including me) are also Plus4 members.
The conference was excellent and reminded us of the National Mutual Agents Society and the Triple A conferences of old. Great camaraderie and first class business sessions. Most of those at the AGM attended the conference and I believe they all had a great experience.
Here are a couple of comments:
“I attended the Plus4 conference and it was a great two days. The Plus4 members seem to be a very good fit with the TripleA, and what they can offer in collaboration with TripleA will only enhance what we can achieve. I have no hesitation in working together in the future.”
Steve Sale “What a fantastic conference. Thank you so much for your generosity – it felt like a Triple A conference of old which is just the sort of group I want to belong to personally, so very pleased with our choice.”
Theresa Hatton On a sadder note, our most excellent administrator Britta will be leaving us next Friday. We wish her all the best in her new role and thank her for her first class service to the Association over the past 4 years. Our Deputy Chair Theresa Hatton’s office administrator will be stepping into the role in the meantime. Email address will remain the same: admin@britta
Best Wishes
