Royden’s career in financial advisory now spans more than 20 years across multiple financial disciplines. He owns and runs Echelon Advisers, a financial planning practice based in Parnell, which provides a stable platform to expand on some of his ideas.
With a view to leveraging his knowledge and experience and to help people better understand their situation, he developed financial planning software that provides the clearest possible world-view for a client’s finances. Over the long-term this helps to navigate them towards their goals using pictures (graphs), rather than just numbers.
Before it became Financial Advice New Zealand, Royden sat on the Auckland Branch Committee of the IFA, and had been a member since 2001. He is also on the Executive Committee for Asteron’s One Network adviser group.
He has a Graduate Diploma in Business with an endorsement in Personal Financial Planning from Massey, and is a Certified Financial Planner Practitioner, as well as an Authorised Financial Adviser.
Royden lives in Mount Albert, with his partner Sam, and two children. He likes diving, gardening, fishing and spends far too much money on camping gear and his off-road truck.
